They were coming in droves when I was in college many years ago

Same at my college. They HATED being here and HATED being around Americans. Very bad vibes coming off them back when I was young, innocent and didn't have a clue about islam or anything about the world.

When I was in Naval Officer Candidate School we had two companies of Iranian Officer Candidates with us. They were VERY pro-Shah and pro-America. All in all a very agreeable group of individuals. Needless to say, they all stayed in the US when the Shah was overthrown.
