The White House said Monday that President Obama won’t necessarily seek congressional approval if he decides to order airstrikes in Syria against militants of the Islamic State.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Mr. Obama, who is meeting with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel Monday afternoon, “has not made a decision to pursue any military action in Syria.”
But he said the president doesn’t see the need to seek congressional approval as he did a year ago, when he was considering an attack on the regime of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad for its use of chemical weapons.
“That was a different situation,” Mr. Earnest said. “These are complicated situations and they always will be.”
Syria’s foreign minister said Monday that his country welcomed air strikes by the U.S. in Syria targeting the Islamic State’s terrorist bases, but warned that Damascus should be warned first. Mr. Earnest didn’t comment on that possibility.
A top White House aide said last week that Mr. Obama would take action against the Islamic State “regardless of borders.”

We’ve fallen fast and far. Remember that Prohibition, simply making alcohol illegal, took an Amendment to the Constitution to enact.
Democare was a simple act of Congress signed by the President just like any other law.
As angry as I am with Obama for the coup he’s thrust upon us it was only done because Congress allowed it. They are just as responsible for their irrelevance as he is because they refuse to follow the Constitution and do their constitutionally mandated duty of checks and balances.
Republicans are just as responsible for the death of our Country as Obama and his administration.

Complicated situation? No it really isn’t.
It’s a war that needs to be fought 24/7. It needs to be a war that the clear objective is annihilation, extermination, and complete destruction of ISIS. How clear can it be? You have ISIS members brutally murdering across Iraq and Syria anyone that isn’t with them. The are threatening to kill westerners, not just soldiers, but innocent men women and children. Either do it now, or don’t do it at all. If he’s meaning the geo-political aspect is complex, it really isn’t either. Anyone that claims they are a humanitarian and that it isn’t right can go pound sand, what are they going to do about it? Destroy them all now.
Or we can let ISIS grow bigger by the day, gaining more influence and making other islamic countries to submit. Then fight them after they kill possibly millions of innocents.
