I was based at Bagram and whenever we went to Kandahar someone on the crew would always make a run to Tim Hortons. We loved their donuts!

that’s because they are congealed grease.

Ditto for McDonald’s. Their Big Mac is a tiny dried out burger turd now that’s really not fit to eat.

I never did like McD’s burgers- I like them broiled the way the Good Lord intended. Fried burgers are blasphemous.

We have a small bakery (Lex./cKY) owned by "the Mondelli's",
Their donuts/cinnamon twists are heavenly.

Oh, that was probably just the pink slime they add.

Ummm..
Ottawa would allow this? Isn't that desecrating a National Institution, or something??

So I clicked your link... Found this: "Sunday: closed for Church"...
A burgerjoint version of ChicFilA... ;-)
Now if only one of those two would open up close to this corner of the world, they'd have my business. (Gotta drive 60 miles for ChicFilA..)

“Is Tim Hortons better than Krispy Kreme??”
The donuts suck but the coffee is the best.
I sure hope BK doesn’t screw it up.

Wow, I noticed even more about them- there is a Gospel link on their site that is exactly that. Salvation by stealth- love it!

No... I swear they have popped up EVERYWHERE in northwestern PA and western NY... the locals here LOVE Timmay’s... especially when they have those cups that you roll the lip up on and see if you won a prize.

I spent about six months in Kitchner-Waterloo, eh? I started my shift at 05:00. There were two Tim Hortons open at that time, one was smoking and the other non-smoking. Let the market decide, eh. I would grap a 16 once, that’s 454 ml, and a sour cream on my way in. It may be an acquired taste, but I miss ‘em. I stopped at one in Maine with my wife, it was a disappointment. More limited menu, the coffee nowhere near as good as I remembered it.
The city in the World that drinks the most coffee per capita was (and may well still be) Moncton, New Brunswick, eh.

Maybe it’s popular there because you’re in hockey country LOL.

I was listening to a radio station out of Canada about a year ago and the morning hosts were discussing how millenials in Canada have effectively replaced "...eh?" with "...right?" (spoken in a similar ascending interrogative type pitch as "eh?"). Apparently they don't like to sound like an old fuddy-duddy backwoods yokel or a gay lumberjack or whatever... yet they still desire validation or consensus the way Canadians seem to with the stereotypical "eh?".
Listen to any Canadian talk, and it will stand right out... it's like the equivalent of the kids in America now all saying "Not a problem" instead of "You are welcome".
Speaking of Canada speak... I always get a kick out of how they make long vowels short and vice versa compared to us... like the word produce (as in fruits and vegetables). Down here it would be PROH-doos, but up there it is PRAH-duhs.

“I never did like McDs burgers”
Forty years ago I thought I liked them. I’m not sure if I changed or the burgers changed or both. Most people of my age assure me that McD burgers did in fact used to be MUCH better.
Of course, I don’t like ANY of the chain burgers now, and pretty much any of ‘em give me a belly ache. The worst thing is that everyone cooks ‘em into charcoal briquets now because they solve their e. coli problem like that at the end instead of safely handling the uncooked burger all along the way.
