A lingerie company is under fire for launching a new underwear line that shares its name with a terrorist group.
Ann Summers' ISIS products include suspenders and bras, but company officials insisted the name is inspired by the Egyptian goddess Isis and had nothing to do with the extremist group, now controlling swathes of Iraq and Syria.
According to ancient Egyptian beliefs, Isis the goddess was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife.

Actually We (you, me and all FReepers) should change the name. We should never refer to ISIS unless we are referring to an Egyptian goddess of magic and healer of slavery...these murderers we are referring to are ISLAMIC STATE...we should never use the acronym, it is a “burka” of ISLAMIC STATE camouflaging what it really is. We don’t want to participate in the camouflage, we want to expose it.
In the 1940’s there was a big bandleader named Dolph Williams.
The actor Adolphe Menjou kept his name throughout his carreer.
But I swear there was a supervisor in the USAR maintenance shop system named Adolph Williams. No one dared address him as other than “Mr. Williams” not even his fellow supervisors.
