Dr. Sandeep Jauhar is mad as hell. American health care is in upheaval. On one side, overhead and malpractice insurance costs keep increasing, while salaries stagnate. On the other, patients believe that expensive drugs are better, more people are on government-run insurance that pays less, while private insurance fights every claim. Now doctors spend most of their time trying to game the system, requiring endless paperwork, protracted bureaucratic battles and treadmill medicine, seeing as many patients as possible in as little time. The progressivist view can never be openly stated because it is incoherent from a practical and a political standpoint. Really, it’s a very stupid ideology. If it weren’t stupid, it wouldn’t have to be imposed gradually and secretly. You could just say here, this is progressivism, take it and spread it among your friends. People would accept it without any problem.
But this can’t be done, because progressivism is a stupid idea for stupid people.
‘All people take responsibility for their own health.
All people realize doctors...should make medical decisions.’
Okay...
