Someone said, on this website, just last night, that Maness was clueless as to what he would do if elected and given the opportunity to do something. Well, I suggest that anyone who thinks that, read this article.

He promises to protect local veterans by fighting to dismantle the Department of Veterans Affairs and absorbing it into the Department of Defense, abolishing the VA medical system and giving veterans a medical identification card that can be given to multiple care providers.
Hmmmmmm...... That could make some Vets nervous.

It could make vets nervous but by issuing guaranteed medical payment cards in the freer public market could likely give vets the care they deserve.

Establishment folks. They're attacking Rob just like they attacked Palin.
I invite everyone to check out their endorsements. Cassidy has not ONE endorsement from a conservative or conservative group. All are establishment politicians. Maness has the backing of conservative groups and TEA parties.

Cassidy is uninspiring and subpar. An Establishment RINO.

I’ve been getting my Medical Care through the VA for 10 years. It was great until last year. If you had an appointment at 10:00, you were in at 10:00 or 5 minutes before. But, In the past year and a half, my OPC (Out Patient Clinic) has gone to hell in a hand basket. I had 4 new Primary Care Physicians assigned to me in 6 months. Now, at the hospital in Houston, the care is still AWESOME! I’ve had two arteriograms; one at Private Hospital, and one at VA 7 years later. VA made the Private Hospital look like MASH.

Maness told KTVE/KARD he will be a candidate who upholds the Constitution in office. What a concept.

If he had any intention of upholding the Constitution, why would he want to be a Senator?

So this guarantees that Landrieu will win, right?

I’ve often thought that too many Dems and GOP-es win their races against more Conservative challengers because the Conservatives have too many on the ballot for those races. All that does is split the vote to the point that no ONE Conservative can win.
Same thing occurred in the GOP Primaries in 2008 and 2012. So many were running that the vote-splitting gave us McCain and Romney.
People need to realize that only having about four candidates in the GOP Primaries will give us a better shot than having a dozen. ....Yes, I know that there’s no limit to the number of candidates allowed.

Do you know how the Louisiana voting works?
The primary election is on the same day as the general election? I don't understand it.
If Maness gets 33%, Cassidy gets 33%, and Landrieu 34%, does Landrieu win?

"...He promises to protect local veterans by fighting to dismantle the Department of Veterans Affairs and absorbing it into the Department of Defense, abolishing the VA medical system and giving veterans a medical identification card that can be given to multiple care providers..." I've been saying this for decades. Been a VA patient for 39 years. That whole system should be flushed down a rat hole and replaced with exactly what the Col advocates.

There is ample reason for the clueless charge.
The law clearly states the claim of illegal candidacy should be submitted to the parish DA. The article states the claim was submitted to the Secretary of State.
If a candidate is going to make an accusation it should be done correctly. It can be argued the very act indicates incompetence.

The DoD bean counters are notorious for favoring R&D over everything else. I don’t really want them in the discussion over the deferred pay I won over a 24 year career. They’ll have us living off dog food and aspirins in just 2 generations. Count on it.

I really don’t know where you’re coming from with that question. Are you saying that you don’t like what he says he will do or what?

______________________________________________________________________________________________
No. In order to win, one candidate must get 50% plus 1 vote. So, forget the percentages in your case scenario. In that case, they go by raw vote count. Both candidates can have 33% of the vote but not the exact number of votes. So, between Maness and Cassidy which ever one has the most votes between them, even if it’s just one vote, faces Landrieu on Dec. 6.
