Jaycee joined FReeRepublic on 9-19-2000 and had found a home at Amy's Place. She was a sweet lady, a beautiful friend and loved by all.
She loved her family, God, her country and our military. Jaycee brought joy, beauty, faith, friendship and fun to us for many years and we miss her.
As you pray for her, please remember her family in your prayers. She was so proud of her sons, Barry and Greg, and she adored her grandchildren.
Father, please hold Jaycee in your loving embrace. Give comfort and peace to her family as they mourn their loss. We ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Rip, Jaycee.
Thank you, Amy, for this Memorial thread for our friend. jaycee was special here. She will truly be missed. But, I am consoled in knowing that she is no longer suffering with pain and poor health. She is one of God’s glorious angels now, and that makes me smile.
Jaycee will especially be missed here at Amy's Place, because it is a part of FR which serves to bring members of the "family" closer and become friends in every sense of the word.
Jaycee will be missed in so many ways, especially her almost daily postings here. May she rest in peace and may her family find peace in knowing how much she loved and was loved.
Prayers for her and her family.
I join in prayer for the family and loved ones - God’s peace, blessing and guidance - as they deal with Jaycee’s homegoing.
Darn.
Ladies thank you for the thread sharing the sad news. Between no internet at home n my sorry ATT service with usually no service, I am rarely on line any more. Recall not seeing her on Facebook also for a long time. When u get to wifi for an hour or do it is a scramble n usually involves posting pix. I regret not being able to Face to face w/her. The couple times I was in Johnson City staying with friends she had back issues that precluded our meeting for lunch/dinner. We always hope for next time don’t we? Hello to all if the other sweet folks from Y’s. The Finest refugees n the great Canteen folk. Hugs/Love
Dearest Amy and Mama Bear,
I want to thank you for this beautiful thread. I have read each and every post and it obvious how loved she was on this forum. I also know how important it was to mom to refer to herself as a freeper and just loved Amys Place. I was always amazed at the things that she learned and taught herself all on her own as she would often show me; from posting and framing to using the html image tags. I know that a lot of her friends on Amys helped her as well and I thank you for that. I would often lurk especially on Caturdays and see what she and you all were up to as I am a cat lover as well.
The tears come and the tears go but sometime the smallest things are the ones that hit you the hardest. Just looking through my call log on my phone and suddenly seeing the last call that I made to her . tears .
I know that time will dry the tears and replace them with smiles and wonderful memories and some of those memories will be the enjoyment that she took in the friendships that she developed on this very forum.
If there is any one thing that I want you to know is that in her final moments both me and my brother Greg were with her. A singled tear came from eye and as I wiped it Greg and I took both of her hands and as she passed she squeezed them both. As we released our grasp I know that I was replaced by the grasp of the Lord and our beloved Father.
Our deepest appreciations go out to everyone on here. Though we may never meet face to face I want you to all know that if she was your friend then you are our friend.
On behalf of my brother and the rest of the family we again want to thank all you for your thoughts and prayers and may God bestow his blessings upon all of you!
Barry
Lord Jesus Christ, rest the soul of Thy servant Jaycee with the saints.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
