ATLANTA (AP) — After nearly three weeks of treatment, the two American aid workers who were infected with the deadly Ebola virus in Africa have been discharged from an Atlanta hospital, officials said Thursday.
An official at Emory University Hospital stressed that their release poses no public health risk, and Dr. Kent Brantly, 33, called it a “miraculous day.”
“I am thrilled to be alive, to be well, and to be reunited with my family. As a medical missionary I never imagined myself in this position,” Brantly said. He spoke at a news conference after his release Thursday. Nancy Writebol, 59, was released Tuesday, and her husband said in statement emailed by aid group SIM that that she is free of the virus but in a weakened condition and was recuperating at an undisclosed location.

I agree...This is not passing the smell test...So does this mean that the US has a fool proof vaccine that so totally whips ebola’s butt that three weeks after going to work, there is no trace of ebola in the victim’s system?
How about, these two people never had ebola to start with.
What has happened in the last 3 weeks is kubuki theatre whose sole purpose was to lessen people’s fears of this virus so that when the virus does actually show up here in the US, it will have maximum effect...we are talking about the Obama regime afterall...

There are people on this very forum who insist that any American with full blown oozing out body fluids from every orifice Ebola be given a private jet flight to America for treatment.
We have as far as anyone knows, not succeeded in spreading it to CONUS.
As far as we know, yet.
Two cases brought here so far.

Lets roll those dice a few hundred, maybe a few thousand more times...
Somehow you want to defend breaking with almost 40 years of squelching Ebola breakouts and suddenly just leave Africa alone, and deal with it after it engulfs Africa entirely and becomes totally unmanageable.
That point of view is not common, thank God.
I'm all for, as you very well know, because I have explicitly told you on open forum, providing the best treatment to any American, anywhere on earth, in situ, rather than breaking quarantine "just this once" to bring them here while they are still wildly infectious.
And just to be crystal clear, we should provide supplies, medicines and whatever succor any volunteers can provide to treat anyone, of any nationality, in any country suffering from this dread disease.
We should NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES move people with an active infection from any hot zone to any uninfected area, no matter how much that offends our oh-so-liberal sensibilities!
