Apparently the officer in the Michael Brown case was injured, this pair shot this guy within 45 seconds of arriving.

They are overbearing and trigger happy.

I am sick sick sick of “at least the officer went home to his family safe”, it is not about the officer, it is about the officer’s job to serve and protect the people he is hired to serve and protect. Instead some of them act like judge, jury and executioner with no authority to do so. Look, I used to read news stories about cops fighting bad guys, chasing bad guys, now they just shoot them. Thing is the guys they are shooting on a relative scale are less bad than some in our government and some who reside in marble elevatored offices.

I despise living in a police state. I hate it. It is wrong and it is not Constitutional. It is abuse of power by the executive and I am sick of it.

Then leave.

Go to England where cops are as unarmed as the public.

Or find some other country where you are not in a "Police State". Good luck.

Gee, I live in an area with a metro population of about 125, 000. The cops in a fifty mile radius shoot maybe one perp a year. I can't recall any police shootings for the last five years.

However, I was incidentally involved in a police shooting about eleven years ago, when a crazed driver rammed my car and the car of another person in a small town. Fortunately, I stayed in my car because after ramming my car one time, he returned to ram my car another time putting a huge dent in driver side door. If I had been standing by my car, I might have been killed.

He was a paroled, violent convict from another state who had literally gone off his anti-psychotic medicine and was about 500 miles away from his home. He ended up stealing two cars and overturning one trying to escape from the police shortly after ramming my car and the other person's cars.

As he got out of his rolled car with a knife in his hand, there were four county cops with guns drawn telling him to put down the knife. After about one minute of the cops repeatedly telling him to drop the knife (which was recorded on tape), the convict decided to charge the police. The police put about twenty rounds in the convict, who was about 6'4, over 200 lbs, and killed him dead.

Those sorts of incidents are pretty rare around these parts. And no his family didn't organize a protest. And no, he wasn't black. But like the many violent young males in the inner-cities across the country who get themselves killed by their violent actions, that person's short life trajectory could have been predicted at an early age.
