The tension between the Wahhabi clerics and the ‘royal’ House of Saud have been apparent for some time. Looks like ISIS (IS) Islamic State might be the last ghasp in an attempt by the fanatics to ‘follow the straight path of mohammad’ while the rest attempt to modernise.
