Former President George W. Bush has taken part in the Ice Bucket Challenge, the internet craze sweeping social media in order to raise money and awareness for ALS.
President Bush, who was challenged by a numebr of Americans, including Jenna Bush Hager, Rory Mcllory, Woody Johnson, and Coach Jim Harbaugh, doesnt think it is presidential to take part in the challenge, but former First Lady Laura Bush seems to disagree
The challenge is on! Former President Bill Clinton, you have 24 hours to complete the Ice Bucket Challenge!
Grumpy cats! :)
How charitable of you...not even a little bit!
There is also the issue that the ALS group supports research using embryonic stem cells. Many of the sources of these are aborted children.
I resemble that remark.
The organization doing the most collecting supports embryonic stem cell research. I will donate to the organization that uses adult stem cells.
What it really comes down to is that different people are charitable in different ways. This sort of thing really got its start back when I was in high school (I graduated in 1972) and has really exploded. It’s great for kids and public figures. As for me, if a charity dollar (or minute) goes to one thing it means it is not going to another thing. I also hate pink ribbons because I believe the goal is not to cure cancer, but to make lots and lots of money “treating” cancer, and on the backs of volunteer time and money.
I’ve an acquaintence that was cured of stage 4 breast cancer via the Gerson Treatment. Dirt cheap but you need a good juicer...
Haha
Saw Charlie Sheen’s challenge yesterday. He dumped money on himself and said they need money and donated $10k.
LOL!!! I thought it was just my brain that jumps to Beavis and Butthead for crap like that.
What's really sad is that this isn't even politics, it's just evil hate.
You've been public with thoughts and actions.
I have a friend who was stage 4 with spots on brain and liver.
She went the chemo route and is alive and well today...cancer free...22 years later.
I love Grumpy Cat.
It’s really too bad they couldn’t do this kind of challenge (or something similar) to raise awareness AND support for Israel.
Not THAT is something I’d like to see.
Good fun, good cause. Don’t let the old farts of my age rain on your parade. So to speak.
