St. Louis County jail show that the 78 people arrested Monday night included four from Ferguson and eight from neighboring Florissant. Another 10 came from the nearby city of St. Louis, and a smattering from other small towns in St. Louis County. Fifty-three in total were from the St. Louis metro area.
All but three of the arrests Monday night were for refusal to disperse. Two of the individuals charged with unlawful use of a weapon were from the St. Louis area.
One out-of-state resident, from Rockton, Ill., was charged with interfering with an officer
Eighteen of those arrested Monday night were from out of state. Those suspects came from Chicago, Brooklyn, N.Y., California, Washington, D.C., Austin, Texas, other parts of Illinois, Alabama, and Iowa.

You are very confused and seem quite angry.
Take another drive, roll down the windows and get some air. Go get a McWhopper....Make ya feel better.
Not confused.
Or LA and Long Beach...and on and on...
I can’t imagine Ferguson being a 5 or 6 minute drive to St. Louis being consider some far away distant isolated place from Metro St. Louis...??
Whatever works...
I was even called a "Cop hating, New Leftist hate monger"
LOL
Color me naive.
I believed it.
But that was because I didn’t want to believe so many locals were really like that.
There’s also the left’s history of bussing people in.
Seemed plausible to me.
Oh well.
Score another one for the huge manatee.
I admit to confusion—this story seems to AFFIRM that most of the agitators were outsiders. Did I miss something?
Yes, the majority came from a far away land called St. Louis.
I read the article. The St. Louis metro area covers a lot of land and people. Quit trying to push the mms meme
Having watched quite a bit of the live streams and other sources, I’d submit that arrest records might be a poor guide to where troublemakers are from. Professional troublemakers often know how to avoid arrest. One also has to differentiate between the stirrers and the stirred up. In the context of who’s inflaming the overall situation, I put (for example) an emotional woman who steps back into the street one more time than the cops have patience for, pretty low, and the (commie?) guy manipulating the crowd or someone actually attacking police very high.
Finally, once one gets beyond the city limits, “outsiders” or “locals” as a function of distance or inclusion within a large metropolitan area gets very fuzzy. The next-to-next suburb over might be considered an extension of one’s own, or it might be considered somewhat more alien than Mars.
Or an emotional man - didn’t want to stereotype - was just picking an actual example. :-)
Maybe just me, but I figured they meant from outside of Ferguson, not necessarily outside of metro St. Louis. I’m not surprised that Riot Fan from in and around town is making his way out to join in the fun.
DC requires permits to assemble and so do other cities.
So you're suggesting those being arrested are just too stupid too avoid arrest? I bet they need more riot training regarding the fine points of evading arrest. I guess the cops there are also just too stupid to ID those professional rioters Paul.
What a knee slapper!
