..Officers are trained to neutralize the threat, not shoot to kill. As part of that, a suspect who is still moving is a threat. We are taught to keep firing our sidearm until that threat is eliminated, which means no longer moving. The last shot to the head is not only acceptable, but trained procedure.
People who say 6 shots are excessive, should know the rules before commenting. 6 shots is rather conservative, given the size of the suspect. The officer didn’t even fire all the rounds in his weapon.
Does anyone remember when that black woman tried to ram the White House walls to see Obama and she was peppered with something like 90 bullets holes? This happened a year or two ago. Anyone there say that was excessive? Were the police accused of executing a black woman and of racism? Nope. Why the double standard? Hmmmmmm!
