IIRC it is the female successor to Ronnie Earl so this is coming out of the DA cesspool in Austin. I bet the leftist scum in that city re-elect the corrupt broad in a landslide.

Actually, they used a special prosecutor, a defense attorney from Bexar County (San Antonio). So he doesn't really have an office from which he can be removed.

What is interesting is that this special prosecutor, Mike McCrum, has his own ethics problems. In January, he was accused of telling a witness against his client to "get lost for a while" so that the witness would be unavailable to testify. He was charged with contempt of court, but got out of it over a statute of limitations issue.
