Here is one I blew.

Which is an NPN BJT?

1N5400
2N2097
2N2022

Jeez louise lemme look that up on the interwebs.

I had the sense to know a 1N is a diode but I picked 2N2097 which is a PNP Bipolar junction transistor.

My buddy got that one right on his test because he simply looked up the part number on his smart phone at

http://www.digikey.com/

That is what I would have done at work. But I had no smartphone, I was working from my grey matter.
