If reports are accurate that the cop was treated for facial injuries, I’m not ruling out the possibility that he was (a) stunned from being pounded on by Brown, and (b) not seeing clearly because of his facial injuries (blood, swelling, etc.), so he may not have been able to see clearly what Brown was doing when he fired the shots, but simply perceived that he was near and possibly intent on doing him more harm.
Why didn’t the police release all this info in the beginning?
According to Western Journalism, Chief Jackson had confirmed that this was anything but murder...Jackson stated that the officer was severely beaten, and the side of his face was swollen along with lacerations.
