Darren Wilson was just one of 53 officers in a small-town police department until his encounter with a unarmed 18-year-old last Saturday on a street in Ferguson, Missouri
....
Jackson, before speaking to reporters, told CNN's Don Lemon that the officer was "devastated" by what had happened.
...
The documents said four to six shots were fired.

Not necessarily. Look at M.E. for JFK’s autopsy.
The bunch of baton twirlers that handled that still don’t have a readable copy for anyone on how many bullets, from which way and from who?
You have gotten back to the crux of this case.
The debate of what happened is still raging. Facts are slowly being distributed and confirmed. It may not be as the media first portrayed it, and is not likely to be exactly the way the witness (a collaborator in the robbery) stated.
I think most rational people would agree with what you just said. Which incidence will be true remains to be seen.
Did you see neck circumference of “Gentle Giant?” One would need three, possibly four hands to surround that neck for manageable choke hold I would think.
So is the sidewalk.
(Funny you should mention that, as the minute this incident first occurred I went to Google Maps to see the neighborhood, so I’m fairly familiar with what that area looks like.)
SO... have you seen the movie THE BLIND SIDE ?
You mean the choke hold that they outlawed 20 years ago — the same the one the cop used last month — the same one that they are outlawing again for a 2nd time.
“And the they could very well include many FReepers, as well.”

Yeah,unfortunately.

That is possible. I read reports that the 'teens' were headed to a second QT (one with gas pumps). Perhaps they shoplifted there also before heading home.
Still the info on who the owner of the original QT was had to come out sometime.
If what you say is true, then the rioters just went after the nearest QT as a symbolic gesture. Or maybe they thought that was the only QT in town. Ya never know. People who loot and burn down buildings while being filmed are not too bright.
You are too late. Some websites have already had posts claiming that the police photoshopped the QT video.
Kids in my neighborhood walk in the street all the time even though there are sidewalks on both sides. Police drive up and down too and just drive around the kids without hassling them about it.
The only thing I heard, and this was at the very inception of this whole case, was that there were reports of shots being fired in/near that apartment complex before, during, and after the incident with the officer and Big Mike.
It is also likely that the gunfire is heard around that area just about every day.
Might explain why the officer was 'on edge'.
The crux of the issue I brought up was justification for use of deadly force and the seeming pass that the agents of the state get versus what we citizens would be arrested and charged for had we done similarly. I'm addressing the mindset among we the people specifically. Cops get a pass - a citizen will not, and that is okay and celebrated even.
I'm still curious as to WHY the cop had to shoot the kid dead if indeed he fired at him multiple times. He did not call for backup, chase the perp down to affect an arrest using a baton, mace or a taser .
If we have arrived at the point that agents of the state are given latitude to use deadly force whenever they feel 'threatened' - what threatens them will continually be redefined, until such time that a wayward look could earn an execution by the hands of the state, and it will be justified. Look at how many pet executions have occurred in the last few years.
It's a greased Toboggan to hell if that is what we are content with.
I'd tend to doubt that. I don't think they had time. They encountered the cop just a few minutes after they left the store where Brown strongarmed the clerk. That's why Wilson didn't have any reason to associate them with the store incident - he didn't even have a description of the perps yet.
Okay, piecing together the various accounts and information I’ve run across through various sources, and assuming that the cop with the clean record isn’t a latent racist creep, here’s the scenario I’ve come up with in my mind, which is naturally incomplete, but I’m also trying to read between some of the lines.
Brown and Johnson rob the store and are seen walking down the middle of the street by Wilson. He hollers at them to move. Presumably Brown is still in possession of the stolen cigars, so perhaps he tries to toss them aside or hide them. Whatever motion he makes in this regard makes Wilson want to talk to them more, so he pulls over and starts to get out.
Thinking he’s about to get busted for robbery, Brown shoves Wilson back into his car, where, believing himself under attack, Wilson goes for his gun. Brown, believing that he’s about to get shot, goes for the gun, too, possibly just to prevent himself from being shot. In the struggle, Brown pummels Wilson until the gun goes off, and Brown withdraws from the car, and moves away from it. I don’t know if he has been shot from the gun discharge in the car or not.
Wilson manages to get out of the car, gun drawn and yells at Brown to freeze. Brown stops and moves back toward Wilson, but because of his facial injuries (blurred vision, blood, swelling...) doesn’t see clearly and fears that Brown is going to resume his attack upon him, so Wilson shoots him multiple times, perhaps due to Brown’s large frame, wanting to make sure that he is incapacitated and can’t follow through with his attack in spite of taking one or two shots.
Now I’ll be interested to see what forensics ultimately indicate.
I think Crump plans on having an independent autopsy done by that Oriental guy who did the Trayvon Martin autopsy. Then we will really get the facts.
: )
Yup.
Found to have a higher incidence of fatality when applied to Blacks than Whites. . .something physiological, so it was deemed ‘racist’ and banned.
Now instead of a simple choke hold to subdue quickly, and 99% of the time not lethal, now police have to use batons to beat the guy or ‘swarm’ the guy (resulting in alleged smothering), or tazering (causing fatalities and injurious when the criminal smack’s face first into the concrete).
Point is, choke hold was less lethal and caused less harm than the ‘replacement’ protocols.
How does one physically subdue a criminal without running a risk of hurting the guy? Answer: there is no method that is 100% injury free or risk free.
Actually, UC was pretty fair during the Zimmerman wars. . .
The convenience store has hired an attorney and he just said that the store owner has been forced by court order to release all these photos and videos and the final one by the St Louis County Prosecutor is now taking his hard drive.
HAH. . .LOL. . .you owe me a new keyboard. . .
If you watch the video there was a point in time when the officer should have let go and he might have been fine.
