Guess they haven’t seen the video of this upstanding honor student pushing around the much smaller employee of a convenience store in a strong arm robbery, which is why the cops were called in the first place.
I suppose not. Fox News just showed it a few minutes ago
In the 70’s, Houston PD was rife with shootings by cops with throw-down guns. Race was not an issue. People being pulled over were cautioned to find a lighted, populated area before stopping.
Just same stuff, just more publicity.
I agree that there should be an arrest for robbery. At what point do you shoot people for robbery, though? Do the police have the right to shoot people in the back for fleeing?
If the perp was struggling for the gun, then the cop is in immediate danger. Shoot away. Once the suspect starts to flee, what then? Does the perp represent enough of a danger to society that he should be shot? Should he just be chased down? More cops called? Wait for him to show up at a hospital?
I hate punks and gangbangers, but at some point we have to decide whether we want Judge Dredd roaming our streets or Barney Frank.
Is that video available somewhere? I'd like to see it.
