Perhaps no news about HealthCare.gov, the Federal healthcare exchange website and supporting systems, is shocking anymore. We all know that it was an utter disaster at launch on October 1, 2013 and was completely unusable for some time thereafter. But eventually they got it to the point of being usable, so no harm no foul, right?

Yes, the regime is much more about crony capitalism than ideology. Not exactly shocking if one has knowledge of how the Chicago Mob has operated over the last century.
"What difference does it make?"
I’ve been working government programs for 34 years (DoD) and everything government does lacks common sense and is tied to rules, regulations and legislation. Any cost they state I triple and I multiply their expected completion date by a minimum 2.5 and pretty much nail it. Just had a 30’ & 40’ metal building put up, all open on a slab with one bathroom small and cleaning room. Nothing fancy, open insulation i.e. no sheet rock etc. It has power, heat and AC cost: $785,000.00. I could have bought a Mansion on the water for that price with more room. Had a bathroom updated in a small cinder block building abut 15’ X 15’.. they added a ladies room by installing a wall.. toilet & sink. $40k.. they reused the old shitter & sink for the men’s head and we wonder why we’re $18T in debt.
Gine ‘em Hell Larry. They certainly deserve it. Worst managed IT project I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen plenty.
I think it is a symptom of being wealthy. Sign off on anything, regardless of finances. With the attitude “I have plenty of money” but we don’t.
I can’t even fathom how something that has been build by homeowners and businesses thousand if times can cost so much once the government gets involved.
Just like Obama, it also doesn't work.
