Hacktivist collective Anonymous had a Twitter account suspended today after they named the wrong police officer in the Michael Brown cop shooting. Police told NBC that the person who Anonymous had named online is a dispatcher and was not involved in the Ferguson shooting on Saturday. In a comment today to MailOnline, a Twitter spokesperson said: 'We do not comment on individual accounts, for privacy an security reasons.' Twitter rules state: 'You may not publish or post other people's private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, street address or Social Security/National Identity numbers, without their express authorization and permission.'

“Hackers have the names and Social Security numbers of Ferguson police. But should they share them?”

Yes, they work for us.

BTW, If (mind you I said IF) the cops murdered this black teen, the whole department shares the guilt. Out them all...

Think of this. Say that anonymous is responsible for some LEO family member gets hurt due to this. They will be treated worse than a cop killer. The retard punks are really playing with fire and gasoline at the same time.

Huh? If I work someplace and one of my co-workers commits a crime, I share the guilt? Where is that found in the law?

Did I say anything about a heavy price?

No one does.

And YOU aren't guaranteed YOU can't be targeted by an anonymous internet entity........

IF a black man shoots at a white police officer at a public protest, then the entire black neighborhood shares the guilt?? (yes, this incident happened in Ferguson)

If you work with a co-worker who disrespects rights of others, and you say nothing, then yes you do...

How many get away drivers have been charged with murder even though they didn’t know it would turn violent? Or didn’t even know beforehand that anything was going down?

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Time for Holder’s feds to start doing some real police work instead of searching 90 year old grannies at the airport.

Subpoena Twitter’s records regarding the Anonymous account, including how they pay for it.

Track the rats down and prosecute for “reckless endangerment” of a law enforcement officer and their family, for starts.

If Twitter doesn’t comply, sic the FCC on them. Might as well make this bunch of leftists do something right for once (no pun intended).

Take the war to the Snowdens, Mannings, Anonymous, Glenn Greenwald and their very dangerous group of hackers and thieves.

We have plenty of jail space for them, and three nice bologna sandwiches a day at Sheriff Arpaio’s lovely Arizona facilities.

Nope, and the police have no responsibility to protect me, according to SCOTUS. I’ll take care of my own protection.

What prevents those of us who disagree with this tactic of “outing” police and police employees from finding ourselves on the list?

Clearly we’re the enemy of the bloodthirsty mob as well.

Well that was nice. Someone should leak some anonymous names and addresses, in the sense of justice, so this dispatcher can have a little face-to-face with the dumb shits that are trying to get people to murder him. Fair play and all.

“Those are the risks that come with the position.”

What the hell is wrong with you? Risks that come with the position? He’s a goddamned dispatcher, he’s the guy that takes your emergency phone calls, and you think he should be dragged out in the street and murdered by a racist black mob?

You think he should be the subject of a drummed up racist witchhunt for having the temerity to dispatch ambulances and fire engines daily? What the hell is wrong with you?!
