Hacktivist collective Anonymous had a Twitter account suspended today after they named the wrong police officer in the Michael Brown cop shooting. Police told NBC that the person who Anonymous had named online is a dispatcher and was not involved in the Ferguson shooting on Saturday. In a comment today to MailOnline, a Twitter spokesperson said: 'We do not comment on individual accounts, for privacy an security reasons.' Twitter rules state: 'You may not publish or post other people's private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, street address or Social Security/National Identity numbers, without their express authorization and permission.'

that’s just great....
where does that dispatcher go to get their good name back...
not to mention their life as they knew it...
Those are the risks that come with the position.

Perhaps to the police chief, to tell him to release the real name?
Hackers have the names and Social Security numbers of Ferguson police. But should they share them?

I have been watching thier posts and it sound like a 12 year old.
If the cops want to emulate the Federal Government goons that gave them all that military surplus, in regards to police state secrecy standards, then they can just deal with the power of outraged citizens and the internet.
The feds are running the show and they aren’t releasing the name.
He doesn't. He moves and changes his name.
Radaris claims he’s Communications Director for the St Ann PD, and Anonymous’s address for him is located in St Ann, about a mile south of Lambert Field. Ferguson is northeast of Lambert.
Risks???? Shouldn't people, regardles of their jobs, be protected against such "risks"?
Don't know what YOUR job is, but wouldn't YOU be concerned if someone who had a case of the ass against you decided to post your entire info on the internet on forums that just love to attack innocents such as yourself?
It’s back under a new name.
That’s because most of them are.
Disgusting behavior that will end with innocent people killed and more laws against we the people.
Sure, I would be concerned. That’s why I don’t work for government.
Besides the annual shakedown racket they run.

You don't have to work for the government.......
“where does that dispatcher go to get their good name back...”
I would believe Anonymous before I would believe the police. Anonymous is pretty good at what they do, and they pay a heavy price when they get it wrong.
No one does.
