A large police SWAT team showed up to a peaceful demonstration in Ferguson, Missouri and the scene is getting increasingly tense, reports Huffington Post's Ryan J. Reilly, who is currently on the ground.
Soon after the team of more than 70 officers came on the scene, they told protesters they needed to leave the area and that "this [was] not open for discussion," Reilly tweeted. MSNBC reporter Trymain Lee tweeted that police told the crowd, "Go home, return to your vehicles. The protesters responded, "Mike can't go home!"
"Your right to assembly is not being denied," the police said later over a loudspeaker.

Not good ... The arrest, if went down as was in the article, was illegal.
But this people are woefully ignorant of history and/or think that it does not apply here and cannot happen here.
The history of Marxist Oligarchies and dictatorships and what they do to their political enemies once they have secured themselves in power is no secret.
Somehow this people think it cannot happen here because some of us are armed.
Without the will a gun might as well be a garden hose.
Good observations
Reading of multiple arrests (10+) tonight but have no idea of accuracy of info.
Just the same thing that you read. He said there was a struggle inside his car and the guy reached for his gun after pushing him back into his patrol car.
Maybe it’s the truth. I don’t know.
I don't know why not.
They have all the witness statements, they have a ton of physical evidence, blood, GSR, spent casing, bullet wounds, a body etc..
Considering the above, I cannot imagine what's holding up the completion of the investigation.
This shouldn't be too complex to determine what happened and if someone is providing inconsistent statements etc..
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble [where the Government's gunthugs tell them they can assemble], and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Ya, I heard that too...But I’d like to see the actual officer involved written statement...A whole lot of details missing here...
Its not surprising. All police recruit heavily from returning military men. At times like this, their maneuvers are straight from military tactics.
You saw the militarization during the capture of the Boston Marathon bombers.
I think its natural. Why insist that they are only allowed to use sub-par gear?

Details of the initial confrontation are not clear. Was the officer assaulted or was the officer not assaulted? It makes a difference. It doesn’t excuse, it makes a difference. If assaulted s/he was acting on adrenaline when shooting a fleeing assailant, if not... entirely different. It doesn’t excuse, it makes a difference.
News crews being told to leave the area. A tweet states ... web editor of StLouisAmerican had an assault rifle pointed at her chest by stlcountypd approximately three to five minutes ago.
A guy named Dorian Johnson was with Mike Brown when this happened. I posted a link to a YouTube video of his account of the incident on the first breaking news thread.
Since then he has spoken directly to the media. And what bothers me about him is that his story has changed. He said in the video that Brown was wearing flip flops and so couldn’t run. Pictures of Brown’s body in the street clearly show that he was not wearing flip flops. In the video he said nothing about the cop putting a choke hold on Brown. He’s since added that to his story. In the video he says the cop walked up to Brown while Brown was lying on the street and fired four more times. That has since disappeared from his story.
In my experience, eyewitness testimony is most accurate right after an incident and while details may be massaged somewhat in subsequent re-tellings or some insignificant details added, generally speaking, true stories don’t change much. Not so with Dorian Johnson.
I hope the FBI uses the tried-and-true tactic of having Johnson tell his story backwards to filter out his embellishments. Just like watching someone’s eyes move up and to his left when he’s recalling an actual event or up and to his right if he’s lying, having him tell events from end to beginning reveals the truth unless he is a pathological liar.
Nothing is clear yet...The cops have only told the media what they want them to hear, and the witnesses are telling them what they allegedly saw.
Again, if the scene evidence was not manipulated or compromised, there has to be a whole lot of scene physical evidence which will reveal what occurred and establish if anyone is providing inconsistent statements...
The police chief said today at the press conference that the officer sustained an injury to his face during the physical struggle within/at the vehicle and was later treated at a hospital.
no chance of keeping up with this feed ... lol https://vine.co/v/MYpHZUxOdFJ
Ferguson, Missouri is a much softer target.
Hopefully some Brady Ranch style patriots are in the mix.
They’re Pretend Sojers...
From Wes Lowery’s account of his arrest:
During this time, we asked the officers for badge numbers. We asked to speak to a supervising officer. We asked why we were being detained. We were told: trespassing in a McDonalds.
I hope youre happy with yourself, one officer told me. And I responded: This storys going to get out there. Its going to be on the front page of The Washington Post tomorrow.
And he said, Yeah, well, youre going to be in my jail cell tonight.
Law Enforcement is not putting up with the crap tonight. Not even the media. Al Jazeera Media was trying to film the police tonight (No protesters near the Al Jazeera crew) and LE shot off tear gas right at the Al Jazeera crew. (LOL) The crew had to run away fast. KSDK caught video of it, so I’m sure it will be out there some place. Also the media here seems to be more hateful as the hours pass towards LE. The media is getting pissed that they being ran off (for their own protection.)
One batch of LE was rushed by a car this evening and a news reporter was watching LE back up as they knew what was coming but the reporter did not until she saw the car race up towards LE. They news reporter ran her arse off trying to get back to the new van when she saw the car. That ended the news cast and I don’t know what happened after that but I do the reporter checked in later to say she was OK.
Slightly smaller bunch of protesters tonight but they were more bold tonight and more tear gas was shot at them tonight.
I believe this coming weekend is going to be much worse. The protesters are sucking up the national media coverage they are getting. (LE knows this and this why they are trying to run the media out also)
So if there were not rioters or protestors near the media crew, why’d they gas them?
