I do not accept that an uncompromising outlook or behavior is the way a righteous, a practical, a reasonable, or an ethical man behaves.
God and the Scriptures disagree with you. A righteous person NEVER compromises with evil. NEVER. Especially when it betrays a moral or foundational principle. You're preaching what Satan would want us to believe.
Did the US and Britain not compromise when we collaborated with Stalin to defeat Hitler? Did the US not compromise when we collaborated with authoritarian regimes to defeat expansionistic communism lead by Putin’s mentors?

They are not looking to defeat the enemies of liberty - they seek to BECOME ONE with the enemies of liberty in the name of 'bipartisanship' and drag the rest of us along with them.
