Aside from being the basis of more than one religion, isn’t the Bible also a great source, generally, of ancient wisdom and philosophy? Can’t someone be quoting it in that context?

After all, if I started the Church of Socrates, and I considered him to be a deity and all the writing of Socrates to be my scriptures, then would the Atheists or any other group be able to ban having his writings quoted in schools on that basis?

“A workout log included a citation to Galations 6:9, which reads: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up,” and a banner used for a pregame ceremony alluded to Proverbs 27:17, which reads: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.””

These are simply “motivational” verses but since they come from the Bible, the atheists freak out.

I do pray for the destruction of these atheist groups. And I pray for Christians to stop bowing down to them.
