Police patrol cars are usually Fords or Chryslers, not Maseratis.
So when a patrolman in Braintree, Massachusetts, spotted a Maserati resembling a police cruiser over the weekend, he pulled it over.
Deputy Chief Wayne Foster tells The Patriot Ledger ( http://bit.ly/1rm0c8x ) the luxury Italian vehicle's body was painted black and white with a police-style shield on the doors, and police-related decals.
Foster said the door shield wasn't accompanied by the usual police phrase "Protect and Serve," but rather with "Decepticons punish and enslave."

We prefer MRAPs here.
maybe it’s a real decepticon, and we’re all in a sh!tload of trouble.
If it’s anything like Thailand there, that’ll be some senior politician’s personal vehicle.
He has a good 1st Amendment defense there. Take it out of the State court and hit them on civil rights violation claims.
“thats an incredibly expensive car to screw up with a purposeless paint job.”
Likely it’s a wrap. Only about $800-$1,00 bucks, and easy to remove.
A New Transformers Movie came out about a month ago.
If the story is true, I don’t know if he should be charged with anything. But I can see it really sucking to have real need of a cop in an emergency in a parking lot or the highway and he’s not a real cop.
“That #3$4%$ cop in the *8%@&& sports car!! I flashed my lights/waved him down and he didn’t stop and help?!!”
“Sorry sir, that car wasn’t an actual police vehicle.”

Dubai PD has one hell of a budget for vehicles.

Some judge is going to laugh this out of court, I think.
I’ve got a feeling the guy did it up for a “Con”, or Convention. If you’ve ever seen the lengths some of these people go to creating Cartoon and Movie characters, it would amaze you.
We know a couple that go to several cons a year as Horror Movie victims. It’s their thing...
different car
Did he claim to be an officer? Did he stop anyone? Does the car have police lights? Was he dressed as an officer?
Maybe he’s just got a smartaz paint job on his car.
“Decepticons punish and enslave.”
You mean it’s not from the government?
Can’t be a cop because they’re never around when you need one. They’re always minutes away. ;)
Thus the crushing sense of outrage when he merrily toodles by while you bleed. Even if he did stop, think about how bad it would suck to really need a cop only to find out he’s just a weirdo driving around in a dorky novelty.

Like a real cop would stop anyway...
The problem with the Veyron is that if the suspect can elude them for 20 miles, the Veyron runs out of gas.
Uhn hun.
Aaaand how much does a Maserati cost?
I was once pulled over and colleague was in the car.
Cop walks right up and says he’s looking for two fellas who just robbed a store.
My friend and just started laughing.
Cop stood there looking at us, in business suits, and I blurted out in a high pitched voice (like a girl) “How many robbers you picked up driving a Porsche, wearing a $12,000 watch and ready for a bidness meeting????”
Tears were running down our faces and the cop just said “Guess you’re right” and he freakin about faced and left.
I think we sat there for a good 10 minutes laughing and making fun of each other.
We went to some bar in Rittenhouse Square and retold the story to some friends.
So damned funny.
That’s “Crown Vic” LOL
