Bridesmaids was funny. In a "Hangover" sort of way. I'm surprised we haven't been subjected to "Bridesmaids 2" or "Bridesmaids 3"... Seems the pattern of "comedies" from Hollyweird these days. You know,
"If they laughed at the gag once, by the 50th time, the gag will be HILARIOUS!"

I met Stephen Furst at a comicon earlier this year. A nice guy, now retired from acting.

Another actor in that same vein was Ed Lauter; he passed away last year. Brion James was another actor like that. He died in 1999 at age 54.

46 And I believe Pinto's name was given to him by Bluto.
"Why Pinto?"
"Why NOT???" That was the movie/screenplay version. In the companion magazine the backstory was that the frat brothers asked Dorfman, Kroger's roommate, what was his most embarrasing secret. And "Flounder" replied, He's got spots on his weenie." When the pledge ceremony took place and "Bluto" prsented Kroger his pledge pin and fraternity name of "Pinto", Kroger asked "Why?" All the brothers responsed in mass, "Because you've got a spotted dong!"

Pittsburgh native James Widdoes (Hoover) now directs bad TV sitcoms.

I am quite surprised that we haven’t seen Animal House Grandkids.

Remember the TV Show “Delta House” they put out later.....The only thing I remembered about it is that it had a very young Michelle Pfeiffer.

Local Hero was a wonderful movie. Every few years I come across it. It holds up OK. Burt Lancaster was out-standing in that movie.

Also great Soundtrack from Mark Knopfler.

Yes I recall watching part of one episode.
In those ten minutes I realized just how out of touch network programming managers are.

I agree that he deserves a lot of credit for his originality, and I did like the original.

Same here... My wife and daughter just couldn’t figure it out.
My son and I, however, were rolling... I was cracking up at HIS reactions to it... the Black Knight scene at the bridge, the wedding ceremony where Cleese beats the hell out of the whole party... it’s just madcap.
It’s a guy thing, I guess...

Animal House was released during my second year in college—I won’t say that we did anything in the movie . . . but I do remember having a couple of cold beverages in the sleeve of my coat while at the theater.
Foooooood fight!!
