“Whose” system is more or less beside my point. My point is, if you accept the premise that smokers be denied health care, you must accept the premise that I put forth concerning Alcohol and “unhealthy” foods and also denying them health care.

I'm sure there are many more self inflicted maladies that can be added to the list. Who decides what is and is not acceptable behavior that will allow one to receive health care?

It's all garbage and yes it needs to be jettisoned, however, while it is here, if we begin to go down the slippery slope of denying coverage to subsets of Americans, perhaps that is a trigger that will finally get us to the endgame of government run health care, if not another civil war.

Dictatorships are born under such conditions.

Nope not true. The system is arbitrary. In a logical world your premise would be true, in reality restrictions are arbitrary and based on political popularity, not logic. Smokers aren't popular and in a minority having been demonized for decades. Overweight OTO is common, so unlikely to be penalized unless extremely severe
