Ferguson, Missouri (KMOV.com) – What started as a peaceful prayer vigil Saturday evening to remember a young man gunned down by police, has escalated into full scale riots and looting in Ferguson, Missouri.
Angry mobs have smashed windows, set fires and looted businesses as a massive showing of police, some wearing riot gear have moved into the area along West Florissant just south of 270.
Police are also responding to reports of shootings throughout the area. At one point, windows of a News 4 live truck were smashed out by the angry crowd.

I remembered the fair attacks after i posted.
One of the Rp daughters bought a Benelli 12 gauge pump, though I tried to get her to opt for a 20. Still she is big enough for the 12 but it is more recoil.
If you ever do get a shotgun get a big sheet of cardboard, mark aim points on it and shoot from say 10 feet, 20 feet etc. You’ll see how little shot spread there is up close unlike in the movies.
IIRC there are now phone apps that translate Morse code.

I think any kind of code of work. With these criminals using our defenses against us with feints and decoys, we really have to outsmart them. The police could send out that a Kmart is breached and then set up a trap and nab them all.
Is the fire private property or a store? How many fires so far? Are they sending the police and fire departments on wild goose chases by lighting up utilities and such, while they try on sneaks and sample Skittles?

Police were able to get a handle on the looting around 1::30 a .m. but a command post will remain on scene in Ferguson, MO.
What an assembly. I am surprised that they are not mostly teenagers. Maybe protesting is for middle age people and actual rioting and looting is young person’s sport.
The blacks on the other side of the thin blue line look like they wish they were elsewhere.
Well you have to remember that it was Sunday so people weren’t working if they worked....and this was in the day time. Night ALWAYS brings out the darker side of life so it’s bound to grow to violence.

Had to look up Zisser Tire. Looks like a family biz with three stores, one in Dellwood.
This will hurt them much more than the big chains.
Such a shame. God help this community and this nation. All things are seen by Him. Those wilder instincts have not been curbed in other instance, so they would be let loose in this opportunity, is not a stretch.
My husband and I had brunch at Golden Corral today. Many black families were there, very proud in their Sunday best, as many of us were. You wonder where is their influence, their steading moral hand. I don’t know.

I see Dellwood pop 5000 is 17 per cent white. The Zissers may cut their losses and not reopen Dellwood.
Cutting power or phones, as I said, could be a problem because you may end up cutting services critical to getting Emergency medical help or maintaining oxygen concentrators and the like for patients who would then have serious respiratory issues.
At that point, whoever made that call becomes the bad guy, not the rioting multitude.
National guard, water canon, and even the threat of "shoot on sight" for looters could work, and if successful at getting people off the streets may be the solution, but there is an unprecedented ability to organize a new start of misbehaviour--something that wasn't present in the past.
Before, once you got the crowd inside, usually maintaining order was more routine. Now, though, the ability to pick a sector and flash mob it--or hit all areas at once exists so long as communications are not disabled.
Maybe they can cut all but 911, and that might make it easier to keep a lid on things.
Who would loot a dollar store.
I guess there are going to be a lot of shiny new 24 inch rims and spinners on the streets of Ferguson today.
