Ferguson, Missouri (KMOV.com) – What started as a peaceful prayer vigil Saturday evening to remember a young man gunned down by police, has escalated into full scale riots and looting in Ferguson, Missouri.
Angry mobs have smashed windows, set fires and looted businesses as a massive showing of police, some wearing riot gear have moved into the area along West Florissant just south of 270.
Police are also responding to reports of shootings throughout the area. At one point, windows of a News 4 live truck were smashed out by the angry crowd.

@criptoe Scanner report that people in black masks were surrounding the station and they were asking for cars to come back to help. Seems likely at this point.
They must have firearms there in the police station, right? I would be very surprised if they aren’t trained to use them.

The Twitter user above is pretty upset about the looting going on in Ferguson, Mo. Not so much because looting black neighborhoods is wrong, but because it’s “counter-productive.” If looters have to do their thing, they should seek out white neighborhoods to pillage.
