Riots, looting, gunfire and chaos in Ferguson, Missouri following police shooting of teenager

Ferguson, Missouri (KMOV.com) – What started as a peaceful prayer vigil Saturday evening to remember a young man gunned down by police, has escalated into full scale riots and looting in Ferguson, Missouri.

Angry mobs have smashed windows, set fires and looted businesses as a massive showing of police, some wearing riot gear have moved into the area along West Florissant just south of 270.

Police are also responding to reports of shootings throughout the area. At one point, windows of a News 4 live truck were smashed out by the angry crowd.

They are looting every store that is at I-270 & West Florissant Rd. They are looting the Hibbett Sporting Goods Store now. Kmart, Office Depot, Walmart, Sam’s Club etc are all in this area and have been looted.

We should pass a law requiring that those guns be registered before they can be stolen...

It seems the news crews have been told to pull out. The live feed I was watching has been closed. Seems that the media and LE think it is best just to chill a bit.

Listening to police scanner; the looting and rioting is spreading all over north metro St Louis. This is going to get worse before it gets better.
