Iraqs parliament just chose a new President who refused to rename Prime Minister Nouri Kamal al-Maliki to a third term. Maliki declared the move unconstitutional and his own State of Law Party pulled support from him. Now his forces are seizing government buildings in Iraq, have closed the airport, and are surrounding the Green Zone.

What we are seeing now is Europe in 1946-1947 without an equivalent Marshall Plan with US leadership that would support the countries that need it for at least 50 years of support not 5 months or 5 years. Add the Christian nations versus the Muslim nations dynamics and the present perfect storm has arrived.
