Bill Gates doesnt slum it when it comes to his vacations.
The world's richest man has been photographed enjoying quality family time aboard an extravagant $330 million yacht.
The Microsoft founder has been pictured on The Serene, a stunning 450-foot boat hes renting from Stolichnaya vodka magnate Yuri Scheffler for a cool $5 million per week.
Moored off the coast of Sardinia, it reportedly has 12 state rooms, a seawater swimming pool, a cinema, a nightclub, a climbing wall, a gym and two hot tubs.

Correct me if I’m wrong but Bill Gates got his start by absconding computer where with all from supposedly friends at an early computer company called something like Digital Research. Years ago I chose DR over Gate’s spinoff because I believed it a better operating program. Gates just kept putting out unfinished products. I believe that Gates’s father was a well connected lawyer who gave a lot of help to keep Bill in the game especially as to IBM. I have no respect for the man or his once employee wife as they are societal parasites. It is a rub that I have had to buy computers with Microsoft systems.

Gates graduated from Lakeside School in 1973. He scored 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT[31] and enrolled at Harvard College in the autumn of 1973.[32] While at Harvard, he met Steve Ballmer, who would later succeed Gates as CEO of Microsoft. The Poker Room in Currier House at Harvard University, where Gates and Allen formed Microsoft In his sophomore year, Gates devised an algorithm for pancake sorting as a solution to one of a series of unsolved problems[33] presented in a combinatorics class by Harry Lewis, one of his professors. Gates's solution held the record as the fastest version for over thirty years;[33][34] its successor is faster by only one percent.[33] His solution was later formalized in a published paper in collaboration with Harvard computer scientist Christos Papadimitriou.[35] Gates did not have a definite study plan while a student at Harvard[36] and spent a lot of time using the school's computers. Gates remained in contact with Paul Allen, and he joined him at Honeywell during the summer of 1974.[37] The following year saw the release of the MITS Altair 8800 based on the Intel 8080 CPU, and Gates and Allen saw this as the opportunity to start their own computer software company.[38] Gates dropped out of Harvard at this time.[39] He had talked this decision over with his parents, who were supportive of him after seeing how much Gates wanted to start a company.[36] I remember him as starting a business selling basic, now his contracts and policies have been considered predatory at times, unlike perhaps Apple, yeah right! Love him or hate him, as you do, he built his company.

Actually, I believe it's 2/3 of a hundredth of his net worth ($75 B).
$5 million is about a third of his weekly earnings, assuming he earns only 1% per year after taxes.
To: Kid Shelleen
Google: bill gates calls for higher taxes
Keep in mind that Bill Gates has a charity - his own, that he uses to shield himself from those higher taxes.
To: longfellowsmuse
Bill Gates along with Warren Buffett do the opposite in actually helping keep people alive. They support abortion with millions given to those that kill babies.

Doesn’t look 450 feet to me. Maybe 300.

Did Bill Gates put himself adrift on his own personal island to protect himself from the ebola plague his Zero Population Growth buddies would love to see help reduce the world’s numbers down to a managable 500,000,000?
