Another FReeper said this was similar to John Boehner hiring Rebecca Tallent, John McCain's adviser.
We have thwarted the plans of these people, and the haven't liked it. So they went all out to defeat every incumbent challenger this year...and they succeeded, except we took out the House Majority Leader.
Scalise, McCarthy and Boehner need to be removed from their positions in November. While Feehery says in his essay that the Tea Party has assisted the democrats, the events of the past two years have demonstrated that it is the Establishment that is in an alliance with the democrats.
It was OK when Thaddeus Cochran conspired with Democrats though.
I imagine it felt good to write this, though.
“It was OK when Thaddeus Cochran conspired with Democrats though.”
Right. And when McConnell continually provided Reid with the cloture votes he needed. And when Lindsey Graham appeared before La Raza and praised Ted Kennedy. And on, and on.
Really? And here I thought it was a group of Republicans who still remember that conservative values need a voice in Washington and have the stones to say so, unlike the current GOP leadership.
Credibility killer, there Ace.
And THIS is an absolute gem.
Scalise is King Théoden in Lord of the Rings with Feehery acting as Grima Wormtongue. However, when Gandalf cures Théoden of Saruman’s curse, he becomes the true king not some sniveling RINO.
He’s channeling Mitch Turtleneck & Lamar Logging Shirt.
And revealing more than he realizes: this is proof that GOPe incumbents are about keeping their jobs, and beyond sweet talking voters into reelecting them, the public be d@mned.
Oh yes!
There is no place in the modern world for crazy Tea Party people who want to live in a country governed by the Constitution and where laws are honored and enforced.
What in the world is wrong with us to believe in such nonsense?
We are dangerous to both branches of the Big Government party.

We're watering the tree of the Republican Party with the blood of milquetoasts and leftists.
If the RHINOs want to be rid of the Tea Party, they had better get their asses in gear and start being CONSERVATIVES, until then I will still support the Tea Party.
How do you crush an idea that were taxed enough already? We don’t have even a old out house for burning down. Were scattered through out the country like salt and we watch GOP politicians and when they get off the reservation and go establishment we get the word out. Steve Scalise would be better off brushing off the Constitution, He’s there to defend it. It’s the only reason for his seat.
Your not thwarting our plans or discouraging us. The party’s been trying to do that since you were but a twinkle in your daddy’s eye. Were what ya call long term focused. The waters warmer over on our side, come on over and see.
The GOP has been playing this bait & switch game for decades. Its vote for us & we’ll fight the liberals at election time, and backslapping in the cloakroom & tax tax tax spend spend spend once elected.
Yep and my husband and I have not given them a dime since 2004. Keep nominating “McCains”. NO MONEY! I missed my first ever primary this year. Why bother? I may not even bother showing up in November. I live in a red state, btw.
The tea party is rising from under their feet and they can’t stop it. A few years ago we elected a state representative from outside the establishment who went on to introduce the RTW bill that became law in Michigan.
The other day we nominated him to run for the state senate seat and in his place we nominated a farmer to run for state representative who speaks out in favor of rural people’s private property rights and against regulation of what they do with their property.
The GOPe is left to throw every dime at the US senate races while they’re being overwhelmed from below.
