I expect America to start recovery after the November election day.

Which election day? 2014 or 2016? Not sure how the coming election of Hillary the Ubershrew is going to spawn recovery.

Looks like we need another “Morning in America”. It’s been 35 years now so my memory is a little fuzzy, but it really does feel to me like it’s the late 70’s. At least Jimmy Carter had the historic agreement between Anwar Sadat and Menachim Began to hang his foreign policy hat on. Obama does not have one significant foreign policy achievement. Get us out of Iraq? Yeah, now the country is falling apart. He’ll be getting us out of Afghanistan. Just wait for two years from now and I’m sure the Afghani version of ISIS (a newly formed Taliban) will be showing up, cutting off heads and taking that country over...

You are right. I am sad that Obama is such a total disaster. Sad for our country.

We’re suffering from malaise... again.

Could Ted Cruz be the cure this time?

I don't believe I've done anything. Furthermore, I will never vote for another rino again in my life.

The GOPe through its cash from special interests and sympathetic free media (Fox News, websites, radio talk show hosts) is misleading grassroots voters into believing they are real conservatives when they are not.

If they get power and start implementing their versions of Obamacare and amnesty the cover will be finally off their dececit.

Keep up the pressure on the GOPe and expose their deceit and ultimate plans every time you can....

The liberal Republicans will amend Obamacare, they won’t eliminate it.....

Agreed, we need another Reagan. Now more than ever. Someone with his combination of Conservatism, optimism and unabashed love of America and belief in her as the shining city on a hill.

But there’s no one like that in sight.

40% approve of "Obama", and another group of unknown size disapprove because Tea Partiers and Fox News watchers are not being rounded up yet.

None of this, needless to say, is good news. Posters who think it's good are fools.

But the generalized sense of discontent — the “malaise,” if you will — is the same. Americans feed on a diet of excellence. We starve when we’re served only mediocrity.

I held my nose and voted for MR.

However I can understand why some people couldn’t.

Are you suggesting that people have no choice but to vote for whatever the GOPE shoves at us?

This Political system in this country is seriously damaged.

It has been hijacked by an Elite that pushes the country in what ever direction it chooses.

Me too. I don’t have a problem with anyone voting their conscience.

And we're supposed to be grateful because they give us a choice on the speed.

not disagreeing but also making sure EVERYONE sees the results of a self-imposed apathy.
Those waiting for Reagan to walk through the door will be waiting a long, long time and sometimes you have to get what you can and make it work. 80% my friend doesn’t necessarily have to translate to 100% my enemy but too many people here and out there seem to believe that we can sit it out until Reagan’s clone rises from the ashes.. well, we’re getting closer and closer to the ashes and RR isn’t waiting in the wings.

Problem is the Left and their MSM comrades have developed an Immune Response to see to it that no more Reagan's pop-up to derail their long-term plans.

After 1980 there was much hand-wringing and soul searching amongst the MSM, who actually blamed themselves for allowing this to happen. Former 60 Minutes producer Don Hewitt actually went before a group of wealthy Libs and did a mea culpa. "I guess we ran one too many stories about welfare queens coming to pick-up their checks in Cadillacs."

Ever since they have set out to destroy Conservative heirs to Reagan on the launching pad. Sarah Palin, Herman Cain....Cruz will get that treatment I'm sure.

...I lived through the Carter Administration I guess I'll make it through this one. I keep telling myself in my morning mantra, my attempt to stay sane. “Carter, begat Reagan,Carter begat Reagan”

That's the most hopeful thing I've heard in a long time... Thanks for sharing defconw.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem... it's never the answer. We need to work harder to get good people elected to office...

Your statement that I initially responded to “Cheers!! to all the people that sat at home on election day..” is pretty loaded. You seem to think that people stayed home on the last presidential election day (like a lot of other people around here falsely believe), and you espouse that belief by saying what you said.

I wasn’t the only poster that responded in similar fashion.
