Both have it wrong. Target issued their prohibition on guns this quarter. I can only speak as an n of 1, but Target lost abut $150 per week just from me alone.
And I am not the only one who stopped shopping there because of their position on guns.

The cost of the breach didn’t cause it but the people who won’t shop there any more are.

Now that they have decided to pander to the homosexuals, it is no longer a place I would want to take my family to shop. Target won’t be seeing my money anymore.

They’re also taking a serious hit from their expansion into Canada, which is failing in a huge way. Their pricing can’t compete with Walmart and their product selection isn’t even in the same league as Loblaws and Canadian Tire.

And didn't they just take a firm stand for Gay Marriage? Something tells me they are trying to JC Penny themselves out of business.

Target issued their prohibition on guns this quarter.Prohibition? Or request?
There are a lot of people here who don't honor prohibitions, let alone requests.

Have a Target very nearby. We go out of our way to shop at other stores now. Don’t buy anything at the Target.
To: Red in Blue PA
I still shopped at target after the data breach. I checked my credit card activity online for several months after the breach, and nothing fraudulent appeared.
However, after they discouraged carrying guns in their stores, those stores immediately felt less safe and stable to me, even more so than after the data breach.
As a result, I haven’t shopped target in months.
And as long as they push socially liberal issues, I’ll never return.
