It highlights the role of a nonprofit called BCFS which, according to Time, has received more than $280 million since December to operate temporary housing shelters for children who illegally cross the Mexican border into the U.S.
On July 7, two days before [the charity head] met Obama in Dallas, the Department of Health and Human Services awarded BCFS $190,707,505 in a single grant.
The Time article also brings attention to an ongoing theme under the Obama administration: its penchant to withhold public information of public interest. According to Time, To shield vulnerable kids from angry opponents of immigration and the media spotlight, the government declines to disclose the locations and activities of many of the facilities operated by BCFS and similar organizations. That protectiveness comes at a political cost. Governors in states across the U.S. have assailed the federal government for sending kids to their states without notifying local officials, and congressional critics say that massive amounts of taxpayer money are being spent without proper oversight.
BCFSs job is massive. According to Time, it has devoted 1,400 employees to manage its temporary shelters this year. At least one U.S. Senator, Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), is concerned about possible lack of appropriate oversight. He has asked Health and Human Services for information about BCFS contracts.
Despite being almost completely dependent on the public, BCFS has faced heavy criticism for attempting to avoid public scrutiny. This aversion to basic transparency is extremely disturbing.
Time reports that the BCFS leader received nearly $450,000 in compensation in 2012. At least four other top officials earned more than $200,000.

Since this article we now know the dollars for BCFS is OVER $200MIL.
I'm sure the Catholic Church got similar dollars.
What's the caution the Bible offers about taking money from Government/Kings?
UPDATE on BCFS: Using the word Baptist in the Government organization title doesnt make it a Church
As you know, you're understating the case. It's several magnitudes beyond an "aroma".
BCFS stands for Baptist Child & Family Services. Which a.) has no apparent relationship to the Baptist church and b.) while nominally a "charity", is about 99.4% dependent upon government grants.
One has cause to wonder whether this affair involves garden-variety money-laundering and corruption? Or is there something even more sinister going on?
Whatever it is, the administration is up to no good.
Where is James O’Keefe, when we need him on this?
As you know, you’re understating the case. It’s several magnitudes beyond an “aroma”.
****************************
You are totally correct, but I’ve been in a state of ‘high dudgeon’ on all things immigration, healthcare, Israel ... pretty much ‘everything Obama’ (or maybe it should now be Obola). I was trying to keep my blood pressure down by not going off on a rant & what I REALLY want to say.
However, these folks and the maniacs at Westboro Baptist Church have at least one thing in common: there ain't nothing Baptist about them.
Baptist Childrens and Families Services seems to have dropped the word Baptist from their name some time ago. They now go by the name BCFS Health and Human Services. You don't have to go much past the name to know what this organization truly is.
A Google (sorry) search of their website (bcfs.net) shows that they don't use the word Baptist anywhere on their site, except in reference to a Baptist Church.
It appears they have gone to a lot of time and expense to purge the word Baptist from their site. Wonder why that is?
This is an interesting link.
IMHO, it would be a lot more honest if they removed the C and the F from their name.
Sharyl Attkisson mega BUMP!!
I was wondering if this is some sort of revenge for Fast and Furious being discovered, or Plan B?

HHS Bankrolled Catholic and Baptist Church from 2010 to 2013 to Prepare for Obamas 2014 Invasion!
Liberty News ^ | July 11 2014 | Eric Odom
FULL TITLE: EXCLUSIVE: HHS Bankrolled Catholic and Baptist Church from 2010 to 2013 to Prepare for Obamas 2014 Invasion!////
A month or two ago news broke that Obamas HHS was calling for private contractors to help transport illegal aliens throughout the interior United States. What made this already big news even bigger is the fact that the original call for proposals came out in January, long before the bulk of the illegal alien surge began.
The breaking news youre about to read is ten times bigger, because the following proves the Obama administration was bankrolling Americas churches back in 2010. And the tens of millions were flowing in to prepare for the invasion currently underway.
The following is a small taste of whats out there in grant records. This is just the tip of the iceberg, folks.
Between Dec 2010 and Nov 2013, the Catholic Charities Diocese of Galveston received $15,549,078 in federal grants from Health & Human Services for Unaccompanied Alien Children Project with a program description of Refugee and Entry Assistance.
Last year, the Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Worth received $350,000 from Department of Homeland Security for citizenship and education training with a program description of citizenship and immigration services.
Between September 2010 and September 2013, the Catholic Charities of Dallas received $823,658 from the Department of Homeland Security for Citizenship Education Training for refugee and entrant assistance.
From Dec 2012 to January 2014, Baptist Child & Family Services received $62,111,126 in federal grants from Health & Human Services for Unaccompanied Alien Children Program.

Catholic Bishops report months ago: we lobby for unaccompanied minors

Kevin Appleby, USCCB lobbyist and author of the 2013 report predicting the invasion from Central America. Did the Bishops mission help make it happen?
Last night when I wrote about Laura Ingrahams tweet, here, about the fact that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration and Refugee Services program is 98% funded by you (the taxpayer), I should have linked this post that I wrote back in February.
See the whole thing but note what the Bishops said in their November 2013 Report on their mission to Central America:
At the national level, the USCCB department of Migration and Refugee Services lobbies to improve options and services for undocumented minors, and oversees a country-wide network of mostly Church-affiliated agencies that administer foster care programs.

Catholic Bishops milk taxpayers while pushing amnesty! Are the big guns in conservative talk-radio starting to get it?

Tonight fellow blogger Richard Falknor alerted me to this tweet at Laura Ingrahams twitter feed:

Context for Catholic Bishops Amnesty Support: Fed grants make up 93% of USCCBs migration/refugee budget http://shar.es/MFEZp
The link sends followers to a story about how much the US Catholic Bishops receive from the US taxpayer citing their 2011 annual report.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration and Refugee Services has published its 2011 annual report.
According to the report, over 92.5% of Migration and Refugee Services $72.1 million budget came from federal grants and contracts, while under $25,000 came from private donations.

Yes....it’s pathetically overwhelming all of the dots connected on this. I’ve kept up with much of this *grant* (US TAXPAYER $$) going toward facilitating these illegals, here on FR.
My question(s) remain...
Where is O’Keefe (or similar) on this?
Who is calling for a House investigation/Special Prosecutor of this orchestrated invasion??
I am so thankful that Sharyl Attkisson is on this, now.
And, now Time is reporting on this, finally, too.
