A Fox News Sunday panel that began skeptically of the GOP chatter about impeaching President Barack Obama erupted with charges of racism and lawlessness, as Fox contributor Juan Williams and Heritage Action leader Michael Needham went at it over the motivations behind the calls for impeachment.
Both National Journal editor Ron Fournier and Williams called out Needham for calling Obama lawless.
You listen to Michael and you understand why lots of Republicans think [Obama's] a demon, Williams said. Lots of people in the minority community see it as an attack against the first black President. They think its unfair, and so its gonna spur their turnout in the midterms, which is going to be critical in several races.
If you just break it down as a matter of political analysis and say who is this group [calling for impeachment], it reminds me that the Republican Party has become almost a completely white party, Williams continued. The people who want him impeached are all white, theyre all older, and guess what theyre all in the far right wing of the Republican Party.
He might as well have just said theyre all racists, Needham objected. Thats ridiculous .Youre the one demonizing people who are concerned about the fact that we have a crisis of Constitution.
Look, we can have a principled argument about President Obamas actions and use of executive actions, but you called him lawless, as if hes an outlaw, as if hes riding the range and we gotta go get that guy, Williams said.

Juan, Obama repeatedly not abiding by the law means he is lawless...it doesn’t mean that he rides horses. And even if he did ride horses, that doesn’t make those who notice he doesn’t follow the law ‘racists’.
I can’t stand Jhemu Mu.
Wow, the comment section reminds me of the DUmp.

Well Juan...perhaps NOW you can see WHY the Democrat Party ran Obama over Hillary Clinton in 2008. The Race card trumps all, and you are their useful idiot.
For 95% of blacks the ONLY thing that matters is obama is seen as black, therefore any and all criticism MUST be racist.I say this knowing several hardworking black people who act very conservative in their personal lives BUT you cannot speak ill of obama to them.
And then there are all the “white guilt” fools who prove they are not racist by accepting and applauding horribly bad presidential actions and policies that they would never tolerate coming from a white man.
How true.
Well, I agree Obama is a racist and lawless...
Yep Fox is big govt garbage. They love the lawless
GTFO the plantation Juan-hole...
Is Professor Jonathan Turley an older, white far right conservative?
When the man in the Oval Office was put there primarily because of his race, and because his color "benefits" the party and protects him from impeachment and justifiable legal action, then he and the people who were responsible for pulling the strings to get him in that position are the racists.
Good point.
Of course he’s lawless, look at the border, the irs, to start, why don’t more minorities see this and question Obama ?
They live here too, do they want to see the whole place crumble? Where do they think there going to be?
That’s it for me and Mediaite.
Tired of my posts being pulled for no discernable reason.
Even my post asking for clarification gets pulled. f’em
You're too late. Too many people like you sat on their butts, or voted for some other looser, and we now have Obama for two and a half more years.
Glad to see that some blacks have gotten over racism and are now calling men born to white woman, black.
Good grief!
Bret Baier won’t put up with Fourniers crap, so Fournier doesn’t even try for the most part. Fournier almost comes off as fair when he is on the panel Mon-Fri for Special Report.
With Wallace, Fourniers knows it’s Liberals running wild on the Sunday show.
