Remember the principle: in Muslim countries, non-Muslims must conform their behavior to Muslim sensibilities. In fairness, it's likely he'd say the slaughter of innocents by the ROT is also a "horror" ... In so doing, however, he would be equating the two "horrors".
I think someone at the BBC should ask him the question (but I'd bet the ranch they will not dare to do so).
