Nope. He dug it out but he’s an efficient hunter. After about 2 minutes of stalking he zeroed in and dug it out in under 10 seconds. He only leaves a hole about 2 inches in diameter.
They used to place bets on how many rats a Jack Russell could kill in a set period of time.

Wish mine was that way. He’d dig them out, no stalking, just
go after them. He’d go after Armadillos too. He died about
15 years ago. He was a good dog.
