Which was not the question
The question was WHERE WAS OBAMA since cross border authority is held only by the President and required before assets can be engaged to cross another country's boundaries???
(apologies for yelling, but I am SO pissed!)
The correct question was not, “Was there deliberate wrongdoing?”, but, “What pro-active steps were taken when things started to go bad?”
I’m less concerned about a ‘stand-down order’ than if there was any direction given the Pentagon to immediately see what support could be given.
When things went bad, did the President actively engage and direct the DoD to take any possible steps?
No. He went to bed. He had a fundraiser to fly to the next day. Case closed.
Was Panetta asked if there was any order to send help? And if yes, why didn’t he follow orders?
