In 1941 Nazi Germany controlled all of Europe and Saharan Africa, the US wasn’t in the war, the Soviet Union was essentially allied with Germany, Japan was conquering the Pacific, and Great Britain stood alone. How dark were those days! Few would have said that by 1945 Hitler would be dead, Germany surrendered, and Japan defeated.
It’s dark now, and maybe even darker because there are so few real men, but I think men will rise to the need. We will, because we must.
But America has never been as bitterly factionalized as it is now, save for the Civil War.
Those were easily identified external enemies big difference, we now battle internal enemies, some are probably your neighbors and relatives.
