Anyone feel assured when they say there will be no accidents with this patient?
How hard would it be for the IS or Hamas people to fly down to western Africa and get the illness? Even if they had to infect themselves? Then fly to Mexico-—take the train and inflect a whole bunch of folks and kids? (they don’t care about children) as they cross the border—then get to a big city and start infecting folks—maybe even have jihadists meet them—get the illness and drive all over—New Orleans? St. Louis? Atlanta? How long before America would be brought to her knees by panic, sickness, and fear?
Emory is top-notch. Granted they probably can’t know every contingency possible, but they at least won’t be making any sloppy mistakes.
No accidents. It’ll all be intentional.
