I didn’t want impeachment off the table.
But unless democrats are crying for impeachment, impeachment is at most a tactic to occupy Obama’s time to prevent further damage. And at worst it would indeed bolster the democrats.
So I guess I approve of the strategy of pointing out it’s just a democrat fund raising technique. Elections have consequencees, and we’ll just have to put up with Obama until at least after the midterms.
While several government “leaders” in DC definitely need to be impeached imo, since Congress is divided, it presently cannot impeach anybody out of office.
More specifically, while only the House of Representative can impeach someone, the decision to remove from office somebody who has been impeached by the House is solely up to the Senate. And you can be sure that Reid is not going to allow the Senate to kick Obama out of office.
Unfortunately, Constitution-ignorant patriots have already missed two election cycles, 2010 atd 2012 to make sure that there are 67 senators who are willing to vote Obama out of office after the 1014 elections if the House, led by somebody other than Boehner, impeaches Obama after the elections.
I like Iowahawk’s take: If Obama wants to be impeached so badly, why doesn’t he do it by Executive Order?
