As I noted, that question is all but irrelevant. Ukrainian air traffic controllers ordered the plane into a war zone and forced it to drop altitude, i.e. set it up like a skeet target, and this is after multiple claims (as in the video) of Ukrainian fighter bombers using airliners as cover while attacking separatist positions. Even if the separatists DID shoot the plane down which I'd still bet against, they were just trying to defend their own people from being bombed.
You don't get to shoot everybody and anybody in sight to do that.
It's called a callous disregard for human life and a war crime.
