The budget is already passed for this year. Defunding is not an option until next year.

On the other hand, if the Supreme Court takes up the lawsuit and finds for the plaintiffs, Obama’s actions could be reversed. The employer mandate, which Obama very much wants to see delayed, would take effect immediately if the Court rules his delay an unconstitutional move. Ditto for all the other changes he’s unilaterally made to the law as written.

All adding immigration would do is confuse the issue while giving Obama and the Dems more ammo to convince Hispanics that the GOP is out to get them. Better to let the immigration situation play out as it is now, because Americans are starting to wake up to the fact that the administration has way overplayed its hand lately.

Does it not strike you as a questionable strategy to mount a suit that, if you win, you get what you don't want?

The idea of the House suing the President is bad enough. But creating a situation where, if you win, the people lose seems absolutely absurd.
