An advocacy group has released images which claim to show an NYPD officer putting a seven-months pregnant woman into a chokehold for illegally grilling on the sidewalk in front of her apartment. NYPD officers have been banned from using the chokehold since 1993, but an officer can be seen in the pictures wrapping his arm around 27-year-old Rosan Miller's neck in the Saturday incident. Her young daughter is also in the pictures, watching the arrest unfold. The NYPD told MailOnline that it is currently investigating the incident.

“I guess all the drug dealers and gangbangers suddenly left town, leaving the cops with nothing to do.”
Yes, that is right. NYC is a paradise now, except for the illegal grillers, illegal cigarette sellers, jay walking senior citizens and assorted other miscreants who are bringing down the Big Apple’s standard of living.
LOL!
>>Couldnt 2/3 cops handle the situation?<< #2 cop was a short, fat, useless woman which allowed the incident to escalate. Two cops should have been able to take Spidey down, but cop #1 one was on his own. The woman cop was able to handcuff Spidey after he was restrained.
From the pictures at the site, not a choke hold.
Now that's a choke hold.
I dunno.... Its against the law to grill on the sidewalk. She doesn’t quit when he tells her to. No telling exactly what she said. He is going to “force” her to quit. Not much sympathy there. If she don’t like the law, she should work to change the law. I guess she’s lucky he didn’t shoot her dog while he was at it....
At some point there will no longer be any of these incidents because half the NYPD will be investigating the other half for using choke holds on citizens who should at the most just be given a citation. But then it could go the other way and they could just use SWAT teams which usually kill the offenders with the killings implicitly justified and no investigations needed.
From the photos she was inside the gated area.
More media lies,(gobbled up by the gullible) none of those pictures show a ‘choke hold.’
Did she smile at him?
What is the JBT ping?
It's the Jack Booted Thug Ping list.
Depending on your viewpoint it either celebrates the local constabulary's flawless execution of minimal and appropriate force in ridding the world of dangerous grillers and poodles or just the opposite.

I understand that anyone walking down that sidewalk would not like walking into the BBQ smoke and smoking up their clothes. Obviously, the grilling Millers were not up to any respect for others who had to navigate past their BBQ. That being said, this was an obscure law that many have no knowledge. It was up to the officer to explain the law, tell why it makes sense to have such a law and give them an alternative or face arrest.
The officers did tell them to move the BBQ to the back yard. However, something triggered the arrest process. For some reason (perhaps bad attitude triggered by disrespectful police), husband Moses Miller was asked for his ID. When Moses failed to show ID, things escalated. Police tried to grab Moses as he began walking away. That’s when Rosen and her brother began slapping at police to prevent the arrest. Allegations say that one of the officers used the N-word.
There are more details to this case. I have a suspicion that the attitude of the officers may have triggered the response from the Millers. I am not certain if it is a training issue. Proper training would have used greater care in dealing with a family BBQ in the wrong place.
the little tin gods with badges give the good cops a bad name, fire that pig
RNC (rear naked choke).
According to the article the cop was there for a domestic disturbance in another apartment... The grilling arrest was just a “bonus” ... I would have expected this in California .. not NY ... my question , since the grill was not shown in any photos ... gas or charcoal?
OH , she deserves it for being stupid enough to live in NYC.
You need an ID in this country? Oh, only if you're a citizen, then you get harassed and arrested for obscure reasons. Why should citizens respect authority if the authorities selectively apply punishment and not evenly apply the law? Anarchy is coming (and already here in some places).
