The fabric of the burka is anything but the fabric of America.
The Muslims did, at one time, weave fabric - it was called “muslin”, a thin, gauzy, gossamer kind of sheeting, but not the strongest or most durable of fabrics.
But it did clothe the members of the KKK pretty well.
But for the most part, the Muslims had very little to do with building what is now known as “the American ideal”, the shining city on the hill.
Early on, though, during the early years of the Republic, the US Marines were called to the Mediterranean, to put down the piracy of the Barbary pirates, to a place called Tripoli. This is immortalized in the Marine Corps Hymn, “From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli”. So yeah, the Muslims did contribute in some small way to the building of America.
