Seems to me the judge made a corrupt money deal with her taking the husband’s. Adultery is a huge deal. This is corruption at its plainest and somehow the victim should be able to sue Juge or city or what have you for being defrauded and the city should recoup costs by charging the Judge.

This is why the punishment for corruption must be something lingering, agonizing and ultimately fatal. With great power comes great risk.

We will either have honest public servants, terrified that they will die screaming for the smallest dishonest thought, or much more clever thieves.
