Rush is spot on.

The Dems are begging us to impeach Obama at a time when we are politically unable to do it and it would only be symbolic anyway.

Beyond that,if we did get him impeached Obama would be a martyr for ever.

Limit his power by regaining the senate and show him the door.

All this "conventional wisdom" re Obama's impeachment reminds me of the Vietnam War's "500-pound gorilla:" the abject fear on the part of our politicians that China would intervene, like they did in Korea.

We couldn't bomb Hanoi--because of the fear that China would get angry and intervene; We couldn't bomb the Red River dikes--because China might get irritated; We couldn't seal the South Vietnam border, and close the Ho Chi Minh Trail with three divisions, as General Westmoreland advocated--because China might get angry; In 2014, the mythological "Democrat Base" has replaced the myth of Chinese intervention in the Vietnam War.

But the problem here is we are powerless to impeach if we do not hold the senate.

Beyond that I fear that yes.. this guy will be made a martyr who will never go away.

I dont want my Grand babies going to Barack Obama High School

Excellent points.

And I have an addition to the Fear of the Democrat base intervention.

I am talking about race riots.

Election 2000. The Democrats intended to use race riots, death and destruction to force Bush to accept "the will of the people" and yield to Gore. Gore himself stopped the plan however.

The left stirred up many a riot in the 1960s.

If they were willing to inflict death and destruction as a tactic in election 2000 (Florida Gore - Bush) they will definitely do it today.

Frum's "Gore Speaks" 19 Nov., 2002 column However it appears that NR has deleted/moved the column. Here's another source.

KARENNA GORE: [Ms Gore describes the "right wing" crowd outside screaming things like "get out of Vice President Cheney's house"] And my whole attitude was, like, "We've got to fight back harder. And where are our crowds?" And my dad, I'll never forget his response. He said, "We have to do what's best for the country, and it is not good for the country to have this kind of divisiveness.["] And he was on the phone, really calling off the dogs. There were people who wanted to fan the … the flames of the racial issue and have real unrest. And he was on the phone asking them not to, because of what was best for the country not because of what was best for him politically. And that's really who he is.

[Al Gore] was on the phone, really calling off the dogs. There were people who wanted to fan the … the flames of the racial issue and have real unrest. And he was on the phone asking them not to . . . .
