They have a hollow point ammo ban too.

If it were me thinking of carrying in DC, and it wouldn’t be since I have no desire to travel east of the Rockies, I’d carry a simple snubby revolver and plain lead bullets. Something like a Chiefs Special that just disappears in an IWB holster.

I’d also fully expect that ‘wanding’ people with a handheld metal detector could turn commonplace all over Washington DC.

Good luck to everyone who plans to start carrying in Washington DC. Carrying in DC — especially Open Carry, which is the stone cold stupidest thing I think anyone could do right now — basically makes the CCW’er become the first little black girl in the Deep South to attend an integrated elementary school with a Federal court ruling backing her up. Only in this case, the jeering enraged crowd hurling epithets and trying to provoke an incident are the DC police, city attorneys, and various Federal LEAs that take orders from the White House.

Bet you a tuna fish sandwich there will be some sort of provoked incident that occurs tomorrow in DC, no telling from what quarter it may appear.

I am covering that bet. Don’t know how we will ship the Sandwich, though. Call it $2.95!

Let’s make it more specific, though. No one who can legally carry under Chief Lanier’s order will be arrested on Monday, 28 July, or if you wish, Tuesday, 29 July, in Washington D.C.
